Although aortic wave reflection may be inherited, the extent to which indexes of wave reflection derived from wave separation analysis (reflected (backward) wave index (RI) and pressure (Pb)) show intrafamilial aggregation and heritability is uncertain. We therefore aimed to determine the intrafamilial aggregation and heritability of RI and Pb and compare these with indexes of pressure augmentation.
