Dielectrons play an important role in heavy ion collisions since they areproduced during all stages of the collision and interact onlyelectromagnetically. The PHENIX experiment was upgraded with the Hadron BlindDetector which provides excellent background rejection by removing pairs fromboth partially reconstructed Dalitz decays and photon conversions. In theseproceedings we will report on the results obtained from 2009 data in p+pcollisions using the HBD as well as the Au+Au results obtained in 2010.
