We report the first measurements of azimuthal anisotropy at midrapidityoriginated from the dipole asymmetry due to fluctuations in the initialgeometry in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 200$ GeV, based on data fromthe STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The signal isalmost symmetric in pseudorapidity and we report it as a function ofpseudorapidity and transverse momentum for different centrality. Results arecompared with available model predictions
