The continuous ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transition in thetwo-dimensional Ising model has already been excessively studied byconventional canonical statistical analysis in the past. We use the recentlydeveloped generalized microcanonical inflection-point analysis method toinvestigate the least-sensitive inflection points of the microcanonical entropyand its derivatives to identify transition signals. Surprisingly, this methodreveals that there are potentially two additional transitions for the Isingsystem besides the critical transition.

Phase Transitions in the Two-Dimensional Ising Model from the Microcanonical Perspective
