In this work the relativistic mean field (RMF) FSUGold model extended toinclude hyperons is employed to study the properties of neutron stars withstrong magnetic fields. The chaotic magnetic field approximation is utilized.The effect of the anomalous magnetic moments (AMMs) is also investigated. It isshown that the equation of state (EOS)of neutron star matter is stiffened bythe presence of the magnetic field, which increases the maximum mass of neutronstar by around 6%. The AMMs only have a small influence on the EOS of neutronstar matter, and increase the maximum mass of neutron star by 0.02 M$_{sun}$.Neutral particles are spin polarized due to the presence of the AMMs.
