We propose a model where the masses of the active neutrinos and a dark mattercandidate are generated radiatively through the $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge symmetrybreaking. It is realized by a non-universal $U(1)_{B-L}$ charge assignment onthe right handed neutrinos and one of them becomes DM. The dark matter massbecomes generally small compared with the typical mass of the Weak InteractingMassive Particles and we have milder constraints on the dark matter. Weconsider the case where the dark matter is produced through the freeze-inmechanism and show that the observed dark matter relic density can be realizedconsistently with the current experimental constraints on the neutrino massesand the lepton flavor structure.
