In this communication we propose the use of the Augmented Space Recursion asan ideal methodology for the study of electronic and magnetic structures ofrough surfaces, interfaces and overlayers. The method can take into accountroughness, short-ranged clustering effects, surface dilatation andinterdiffusion.
