A cosmological model in Lyra's geometry are studied under the assumption thatan effective cosmological term is appeared in the field equations as the resultof interaction between the displacement vector field and an auxiliary $ \Lambda$ - term. Some exact solutions of the model equations are obtained andpreliminary studied for the simplest cases in order to illustrate how such amodel works
