The quasidistributions corresponding to the diagonal representation ofquantum states are discussed within the framework of operator-symbolconstruction. The tomographic-probability distribution describing the quantumstate in the probability representation of quantum mechanics is reviewed. Theconnection of the diagonal and probability representations is discussed. Thesuperposition rule is considered in terms of the density-operator symbols. Theseparability and entanglement properties of multipartite quantum systems areformulated as the properties of the density-operator symbols of the systemstates.
