‘What would the world be like without queer and trans* comics, countercultural comics?’ Conducted in July 2020, this interview with writer, illustrator, editor and educator Ellen Lindner discusses her passion for creating comics and teaching about comics,  The Strumpet , why comics are so well suited for communicating personal stories and non-fiction, comics and activism, and ‘the political principle that telling personal stories IS political, and activist.’ Within this interview she shares her thoughts on the potential of comics in relation to communicating experiences, and discusses the power of comics as a medium that provides opportunities for voice, expression and activism while fostering new ways of seeing and understanding, as well as empathy and connection.
