In this study, six different self-compacting concrete mix designs were used for the repair overlay and two mix designs were implemented as substrates. The repair layer contains 0.5% and 1% volume of steel fibres. Compressive, flexural, splitting tensile and pull-off strength tests were performed on the specimens at the age of 28 d, and a pull-off strength tests was additionally performed on the specimens at the age of 90 d. The different test conditions for the pull-off were curing environments including open air, standard, and hot water accelerated conditions. Surface roughening was applied included brush roughening (F) and combinations of brush roughening with grooving (FG), Also with two loading rates of 0.15 and 0.3 MPa/s. The results revealed that the impact of the substrate strength is a key factor influencing pull-off strength between repair layers and these substrates. In both types of substrates, the increases in fibres have no significant effect on the pull-off strength at 28 d of age. Due to the increase of fibres up to 1%. The group method of data handling (GMDH) technique in a neural network was also used for the evaluation of the results.
