The stress relief and soil movement caused by excavation have a significant impact on behaviours of deep foundation. To assess damage to adjacent piles, this research evaluates bearing capacity and displacement of pile groups. In addition, due to the effects of construction sequences of pile andexcavation on their interactions in the non-elastic environment, two scenarios of simulations were performed. The first scenario was performed by simulating pile groups followed by near excavation modelling. The second scenario was carried out by modelling excavation followed by simulating near piles. The PLAXIS 2-D Foundation finite element software was used for numerical simulation, and input variables were physical parameters of pile group, and type of soil, which assessed the function of friction piles. Based on results, the percentage of bearing capacity reduction ranged between 3% and 21%, the maximum displacement was 155 mm in the second method, and the most critical conditions were witnessed in the first scenario.
