The governing equations of magneto-thermoelastic semiconductor solid half-space with diffusion in plasma theory during the photothermal process are formulated in the context of a two-temperature generalized theory of thermoelasticity with triple-phase-lags in a specialized plane. Two velocity equations are obtained. The plane wave solutions of these equations bespeak the existence of four coupled longitudinal and one shear transverse waves namely coupled longitudinal displacement (CLD), coupled thermal (CT) waves, coupled plasma (CP) waves, coupled mass diffusion (CMD) wave and shear transverse (SV) waves. A reflection problem at a thermally insulated/isothermal stress-free boundary is studied to obtain reflection coefficients and energy ratios. The reflection coefficients and energy ratios of the reflected waves are computed for a silicon material and the effect of diffusion, two-temperature, and magnetic field parameters against the angle of incidence is observed graphically on reflection coefficients and energy ratios. The method presented here may apply to a wide range of problems in thermodynamics and thermoelasticity.
