This semi-experimental study investigated the influence of a six-session, manualized solution-focused group counseling intervention on anxiety and social skills among female high school students attending two high schools in Eqlid, Iran. 15 participants were randomly selected from each school. One school was randomly assigned as the intervention school. Assessments included the Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorder (SCARED) and the Social Skills Rating System (SSRS). Effectiveness was evaluated with ANCOVA. Anxiety decreased in the treatment group (27.87 to 19.81, effect size 0.55,  p  &lt;.001) and Social skills improved more in the treatment group (32.80 to 40.93, effect size 0.35,  p  &lt; .001).
