The main argument of the present paper is that although the intention of at least some of those individuals who are trying to produce ‘Islamized Knowledge’ may be admirable, the methods and approaches they have adopted is not conducive to the aim they have in mind. The paper consists of the following parts: a short introduction (Sec. 0); a brief history of the ‘Islamization of Knowledge’ (Sec. I); A brief account of the main tenets of the theoretical framework which informs the present study, namely, Critical Rationalism (Sec. II); a short assessment of the general defects of all projects of Islamization of knowledge (Sec. III); a critical evaluation of the views of two contemporary Iranian advocates of the ‘Islamization of Knowledge’ (Secs. IV &amp; V); and the conclusion (Sec. VI).
