In order to determine the MMP using the slim test, the use of an appropriate criterion is inevitable. But there is no standard method or criterion for interpreting the data in this experiment to determine the MMP. However, various criteria such as linear intersection (LI), oil recovery factor (ORF), and break-over pressure (BOP) are currently used to ascertain MMP. However, these criteria are not perfect and need to be improved. In this paper, a slim test is first performed for a live-oil and methane. Then, the mentioned criteria have been modified. Modified ORF and BOP criteria are named MORF and MBOP, respectively. All the results from the various criteria are compared, and an interval for the MMP is determined. Finally, for the performed slim tube test, a pressure range of 6061.71-6258.94 psi has been determined. The novelty of this study is to provide more methods to determine the MMP interval, as well as criteria that can be used for a wider range of laboratory data. The application of the results of this study will be to determine a range for MMP, so that if the gas injection pressure is in this range, the injection conditions will be miscible.
