The main objective of geothermal analysis, as an important step in any reservoir study, is to find temperature gradient of the reservoir and its temperature at a reference depth. Temperature are more sensitive compared to pressure and the measured data in wellbore are representative of formation temperature only if the well is shut-in for a long time and the wellbore conditions should be stable. This study presents a comprehensive applicable data and their analyses in the form of a flowchart for reservoir geothermal analysis, highlighting the strengths, limitations and uncertainties of each method and data set. These data include static survey data, wireline formation testing data, DST/well test data, PLT data, well log data, bottom hole sampling data and nearby field data. We apply the proposed methodology for a real field to determine geothermal gradient and temperature. Geothermal analyses were done for each data set available in the field. Temperature data available in a nearby field, were also analyzed and compared to the temperature analyses results in the main field. A concluding analysis was then conducted by considering all individual analyses together. The calculated surface temperature from determined geothermal gradient could be used to verify the results.
