This study aims to evaluate the physicochemical properties of bottled waterafter it has been exposed to different storage times and temperatures due to the effect of the plastic bottles on the drinkable water and changing its initial properties. A total of 48 samples of plastic bottled water were collected from the (Slemani water company). They were filled with distilled water, placed at different temperatures and tested at different storage times for evaluating pH, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and total hardness. Results show that theere is highly significant change observed in the alkalinity level in the 2-week duration period of storage when they were exposed to the sunlight, freezing, and refrigerator temperatures, B2 and B3 (B2 89.67 ± 4.509, B3 246.7 ± 25.17) and significant in B1 and B3 (B1 129.7 ± 60.91, B3 246.7 ± 25.17) in 2 weeks period but in 24 h period of time all the temperatures have shown no significant results (B1 95.00 ± 5.00, B2 100.0 ± 17.32, B3 160.0 ± 103.9). Exposure to plastic bottled water to different ranges of temperature causes various effects on the quality and physicochemical properties of the drinking water. The storage of the bottled water in a 24 h condition with exposure to freezing temperature produced a significant change in the calcium level, and slight changes were noticed at the levels of pH, Electrical conductivity, total hardness, magnesium, chloride of the water in both 2 weeks and 24-h period. The highest significant change was observed from the alkalinity between temperatures B2 (Refrigerator 4 °C) and B3 (freezer −18 °C) in 2 weeks’ storage time. Finally, no significant results were observed in pH for different temperatures, B1(Sun 30 °C), B2(Refrigerator 4 °C), and B3(freezer −18 °C) in 2 weeks’ time.
