Present investigation reported one-pot multicomponent synthesis of novel series of 8-benzyloxy-5-{2-[ N ′-(1,3-diphenyl-1 H -pyrazol-4-ylmethylene)-hydrazino]-thiazol-4-yl}-3,4-dihydro-1 H -quinolin-2-one derivatives. The titled compounds were synthesized by using one-pot condensation of substituted 3-aryl-1-phenyl-1 H -pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde, thiosemicarbazide, and 8-benzyloxy-5-(2-bromo-acetyl)-1 H -quinolin-2-one. Main features of present protocol are environmentally benign, rapid and good to excellent yield of the products (93–99%).
