A new species,  Archaeosciaphilus gyrommatus  n. sp. of the subfamily Entiminae, is described from Baltic amber. The new species is similar to  A. marshalli  but differs in the smaller body sizes, the scape reaching middle of the eye, narrower decumbent elytral scales, weakly convex elytral interstriae and tarsal claws equal in length. The genus  Archaeosciaphilus  , n. placem. is transferred from the tribe Sciaphilini to the tribe Polydrusini. A list of species from the subfamily Entiminae described from Baltic amber is given. The relationships between the Entiminae fauna of Baltic amber and other Eocene localities are discussed.
