Environmental detoxification is an integral step towards the achievement of environmental sustainability. Green entities-based bio-sorbents play an influential role in sustainable environmental clean-up in a cost-effective and facile way. Current work has utilised the otherwise waste products, i.e. peels of  Musa acuminate, Malus pumila, Solanum tuberosum  and  Lagenaria siceraria  as bio-sorbents for the purification of heavy metals laden water samples. Chemical and biological contaminants from impure water samples by utilisation of the commendable antioxidant and antibacterial aspects of the selected bio-sorbents. Three hydrospheric samples including tap water, bore water and wastewater were collected and processed for treatment with the prepared bio-sorbents. Physicochemical and biological analyses of the treated and untreated samples were carried out and analysed. Furthermore, the comparison of the results was also done by practical scale lab employment of the hypothetical model for the assessment of the designed model. Processed bio-sorbents successfully removed the target heavy metals, i.e. copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) with an alternate augmentation in the mineral contents inclusive of calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) and potassium (K) in the hydrospheric samples. Current work can also be extended to the optimisation of prepared bio-sorbents for practical scale utilisation for environmental detoxification.
