The tons of waste carbon fiber composites (WCFC) are cumulated as landfilling every year, leading to environmental pollution. Therefore, this study used mechanically recycled WCFC particles as secondary reinforcement in fabricating composite materials. In this current work, the composites (H1–H4) were fabricated by the hand layup method with the addition of WCFC particles. According to ASTM standards, the particles were added at different proportions, such as 0, 1, 2, and 3%. The tribological and mechanical characteristics such as wear, erosion, tensile, flexural, impact, and hardness were performed on the fabricated composites. It is noted that chemical-treated flax/hemp fibers and particle incorporation increase the tensile strength by 20.19%. The addition of WCFC particles improves the flexural properties of the composite. H2 (16.26%) and H3(26.56%). At 10 N load, 1 m/s sliding speed, and 1000 m sliding distance, the H4 specimen shows a 42.12% decrement in wear rate (Ws) compared with the H1 specimen. It is noted that the erosion rate progressively decreases for the fabricated composite (H4 &lt; H3 &lt; H2 &lt; H1) when the impingement angle increases from 30°, 60°, and 90°. The SEM image shows that plowing and micro pitting lead to deep peaks and valleys in the composite region under erosion.
