This study aimed to determine the relationship of psychological hardiness (SH) and psychological capital (PsyCap) with quality of life (QOL) through the mediating role of psychological empowerment (PE) in Iranian female heads of households (FHHs). This was a correlational study of structural equation modeling type. 285 women were selected using simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using the path analysis method. Results showed that SH, PsyCap, and PE have a significant positive relationship with QOL. Besides, PE could play a mediating role between PsyCap and QOL, but its mediating role between SH and QOL was not confirmed.
