The study was to determine the share of interpersonal dependency and personality type in the marital satisfaction of the spouses of the patients with MS. A sample of 220 participants in the standard model were asked to answer ENRICH-47, IDI, and HEXACO-PI-R questionnaires and the data were submitted to multiple regression analysis. Findings showed a significant (p&lt;0.01) negative correlation between interpersonal dependency and emotionality and marital satisfaction. Also, honesty and conscientiousness positively (p ≤ 0.01) correlated with marital satisfaction. Since interpersonal dependency and personality type were effective in MS, emotional empowerment, adaptation training and independence seem necessary.
