Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) are emerging as one of the rich renewable energy sources in recent times. The research is aimed at a tremendous amount of energy production shortly. Design and optimisation are the key parameters to enhance their performance. However, commercial simulation tools are not economical and demand high-end computing resources. This forces us to develop a basic and lighter version of the tool for the preliminary design and optimisation for low-end laboratories. It has been developed using python, associated open source libraries, and Raspberry-Pi single board computer. It supports contact separation and sliding modes, which are mostly preferred. The numerical and graphical analyses are performed for various materials and design parameters. The results obtained are in line with contemporary triboelectric nanogenerators outputs with a minimum accuracy of 88%.
