A comparative study for energy and exergy performances of fired brick and concrete-based PCM augmented Trombe wall is presented. The governing equations of the systems were derived with specified initial and boundary conditions. With this simulation condition, the peak daily stored energy, stored exergy, room temperature, first and second law efficiencies for both concrete and clay based were respectively 413.8 MJ and 459.5 MJ, 22.9 MJ and 23.65 MJ, 317.8 K and 302.4 K, 30.91% and 34.38%, and 1.64% and 1.89%. The model was also implemented for PCM compositions of 30–80%; wall thickness of 0.20–0.45 m as well as insolation of 400–800 W/mas parametric study on the Trombe wall energy storage, exergy storage entropy generation and the room temperature for thermal comfort. The desired room temperature range of 299–301 K was obtained with insolation of 600 W/m, fired brick composition of 60% and wall thickness of 0.35 m.
