Thermal conductivity ( K  value) of concrete specimens plays a major role in the transfer of heat in building by means of conduction. The amount of energy consumption on buildings is based on heat loss from roof and walls. Different types of materials used in preparing concrete specimens and density of concrete play an influential role in thermal conductivity of concrete. In this experimental study, mechanical and thermal properties of concrete modified with rice husk ash (RHA) and titanium dioxide nanoparticles were determined. The cone calorimetry method and cold plate method were used to determine the thermal conductivity of concrete. Rice husk ash was replaced by about 10% of cement. TiO 2  nanoparticles were replaced by varying percentages from 1% to 5% by weight of cement. Concrete containing nanoparticles and RHA were casted and compared with conventional concrete.
