Letbe a unital prime complex ⁎-algebra having a nontrivial projection. In this paper, we proved that every ⁎-derivation-type mapon sum of triple productsfor all elementswhere the scalarsare rational numbers satisfying some conditions, is an additive ⁎-derivation. An application of the results is also presented.
