Types of three  Dictyna  species described by Władysław Kulczyński based on females from the territory of the former Russian Empire –  D. sibirica sibirica  Kulczyński, 1908, from East Siberia,  D. sibirica simulans  Kulczyński, 1916 from West Siberia and  D. ignobilis  Kulczyński,  1895  from Armenia – are re-examined herein. Two names,  D. sibirica sibirica  Kulczyński, 1908 syn. nov. and  D. sibirica simulans  Kulczyński, 1916 syn. nov. are synonymised with  D. major  Menge, 1869. Furthermore,  Dictyna ignobilis  Kulczyński,  1895  syn. nov. is found to be a junior synonym of  D. arundinacea  (Linnaeus,  1758 ). The distribution range of  D. major  is mapped.
