The temperature dependences of the dielectric constant, the third harmonic coefficient and the DTA signal of the (KNO 3 ) 0.9 /(NaNO 2 ) 0.1  double salt system in comparison with pure potassium nitrate have been investigated. The studies were carried out in the temperature range 300–455 K. The expansion of the temperature range of the existence of the potassium nitrate ferroelectric phase in (KNO 3 ) 0.9 /(NaNO 2 ) 0.1  was found. It is shown that the ferroelectric phase of potassium nitrate in (KNO 3 ) 0.9 /(NaNO 2 ) 0.1  can occur not only upon cooling, but also upon heating.
