In this article, an L-shaped piezoelectric energy harvester is proposed and experimentally studied under vortex induced vibration to convert wind energy into electricity. By changing the parameters of the cylinder, the energy harvesting performance and vibration response of the energy harvester are studied. The results show by reducing the cylinder’s length and increasing the cylinder’s diameter, the effective wind band and the output power can be improved. When the cylinder length is 110 mm, the diameter is 50 mm, the load resistance is 80 kΩ, and the wind speed is 3 m/s, the maximum output power can reach 560.9 μW.
