Modified solid solutions based on the multiferroic Bi 0.5 La 0.5 MnO 3  were synthesized by conventional ceramic technology. The modifiers were introduced stoichiometrically in the form of Fe 2 O 3 , Co 2 O 3  by the formula Bi 0.5 La 0.5 Mn 1-x Z x O 3 . The processes of phase formation, structural characteristics, dielectric properties, and microstructure were studied. Anomalies in the dielectric permittivity spectra were found, probably associated with the Maxwell-Wagner polarization. Correlations were established between the macro-properties of the samples and the phase transition phenomena characteristic of them.
