Barium-strontium niobate Sr 0.5 Ba 0.5 Nb 2 O 6  epitaxial thin films with SrRuO 3  epitaxial bottom electrode were sputtered on MgO(001) substrates by RF cathode deposition in an oxygen atmosphere. The produced Sr 0.5 Ba 0.5 Nb 2 O 6 /SrRuO 3 /MgO is a high quality heterostructure without any impurity phases. The formation of domains with two orientations is observed in the Sr 0.5 Ba 0.5 Nb 2 O 6  layer. In both layers of the heterostructure, there are rather strong deformations of unit cells. Hysteresis in the ε'/ε 0 ( T, f ) temperature dependences was found at the room temperature.
