Heat capacities of NaF and NaBr have been measured from 2 K to around 20 K. Limiting values of the Debye temperature e~ of 4882 K (NaF) and 2246 1 K (NaBr) agree with e~1 within experimental errors. Values of the Griineisen parameter y(T) lie between 09 and 11 in the range below 20K.
