The magnetic drift velocity W M relating to the drift of an electron swarm in crossed electric and magnetic fields has been measured in hydrogen and   uterium at 293K. The measurements were made using Huxley's method of asuring Wx/W., the ratio of the transverse to the longitudinal drift velocity. Data re given for W M and for the magnetic deflection coefficient 'l' for 61 X 10-19 &lt; E/N &lt;27Xl0-16 Vcm2 for hydrogen and 61xl0-19 &lt;E/N&lt;24xl0-16 Vcm2for  euterium.
