This paper reports the development of a methodology combining microstripferromagnetic resonance (MS-FMR) and digital image correlation (DIC) in orderto silmuteanously measure the voltage-induced strains and the magneticresonance in artificial magnetoelectric heterostructures (magneticfilms/piezoelectric substrate? or magnetic films/flexiblesubstrate/piezoelectric actuator ?). The overall principle of the technique andthe related analytical modelling are described. It is powerful to estimate themagnetostriction coefficient of ferromagnetic thin films and can be used todetermine the effective magnetoelectric coefficient of the wholeheterostructures in addition to the piezoelectric coefficient related to thein-plane voltage-induced strains. This methodology can be applied to system forwhich the strains are well transmitted at the different interfaces.
