The influence of strong internal forces on photon-assisted scattering and onthe displacement mechanism of magnetoconductivity oscillations in atwo-dimensional (2D) electron gas is theoretically studied. The theory isapplied to the highly correlated system of surface electrons on liquid heliumunder conditions that the microwave frequency is substantially different frominter-subband resonance frequencies. A strong dependence of the amplitude ofmagnetoconductivity oscillations on the electron density is established. Thepossibility of experimental observation of such oscillations caused byphoton-assisted scattering is discussed.
