The most significant challenge currently facing photometric surveys fortransiting gas-giant planets is that of confusion with eclipsing binary systemsthat mimic the photometric signature. A simple way to reject most forms ofthese false positives is high-precision, rapid-cadence monitoring of thesuspected transit at higher angular resolution and in several filters.
