We have studied the nucleation of superconductivity in a mesoscopic Al diskwit a Co/Pd magnetic dot placed on the top by measuring the normalsuperconducting phase boundary Tc(B). The measurements have revealed apronounced asymmetry with respect to the direction of the applied magneticfield, indicating an enhancement of the critical field when an applied magneticfield is oriented parallel to the magnetization of the magnetic dot. Thetheoretical Tc(B) curve is in a good agreement with the experimental data.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures. To be published in Applied Physics Letter
