Les auteurs rapportent un cas non mortel d'intoxication volontaire par le laurier rose chez une femme de 23 ans. Les premiers symptômes ont été des nausées et une bradycardie sinusale. A son admission en service de réanimation, le bilan biochimique montre une alcalose mixte et une hypophosphorémie. Les prélèvements sanguins effectués en urgence et au cours de l'évolution de l'intoxication ont permis de mettre en évidence une concentration sérique apparente initiale en digitoxine de 46,6 µg/l par dosage immunochimique. Ces résultats ont ensuite été vérifiés par une méthode spécifique utilisant un couplage chromatographie liquidespectrométrie de masse (CL/SM). Le dosage par CL/SM a permis l'identification et la quantification de l'oléandrine dans le sérum, avec des concentrations sériques allant de 11,9 à 19,1 ng/ml. Ce couplage CL/SM permet l'identification formelle et le dosage de l'oléandrine et apparaît comme une méthode de choix en toxicologie clinique, et surtout lors d'expertises médico-légales.The authors report a nonfatal case of voluntary intoxication by the pink bay-tree of a 23 year old woman.
