Mg 2 SiO 4  nanostructures have been synthesized  via  a facile hydrothermal approach. The photocatalytic behavior of Mg 2 SiO 4  nanostructures prepared by different carboxylic acids have been investigated to degrade azo dyes under UV and visible light.
