For the ideal reaction routes in steam reforming of ethanol catalyzed by Co/CeO 2 –ZrO 2 , as Al 2 O 3  was used instead of ZrO 2 , the effect of CeO 2  did not appear, suggesting that the configuration of CeO 2  and cobalt species on ZrO 2  would be important.
