A fine-sized Ba 3 Si 6 O 12 N 2 :Eu 3+  green phosphor with good luminescence and thermal quenching properties was prepared by spray pyrolysis using a mixture of TEOS and Si 3 N 4  nanoparticles as the Si precursor.
