ResumenObjetivoComparar el manejo de herramientas de gestión por profesionales de Enfermería y la percepción de las personas sobre el cuidado de Enfermería, en los hospitales del distrito Chachapoyas, Región Amazonas, Perú.MétodosDiseño descriptivo comparativo en 140 personas hospitalizadas y 25 enfermeros de 2 hospitales del distrito Chachapoyas. Se revisaron 80 historias clínicas en cada institución para observar el proceso de Enfermería; se encuestaron a profesionales de Enfermería para medir la calidad del cuidado de Enfermería, y a los sujetos de cuidado para medir su percepción sobre ésta.ResultadosSe encontró regular manejo del Proceso de Atención de Enfermería (PAE) en ambos hospitales, poca capacidad científico-técnica del personal de Enfermería, pero buena interacción personal.ConclusionesLa buena interacción interpersonal de los profesionales de Enfermería con las personas en ambos hospitales puede haber influido, en que éstas tengan percepción de regular a buena acerca del cuidado de Enfermería.AbstractObjectiveTo compare the task tools management by nursing professionals and the people’s perception on nursing care in Cachapoyas district hospitals in Amazonas region, Peru.MethodsComparative descriptive design with 140 hospitalized persons and 25 nursing personnel in two hospitals of the Chachapoyas district. Eighty clinical histories were reviewed to study the nursing process. Nursing professionals were interviewed to measure the quality of care, and patients were also interviewed but to estimate their perception of this care.ResultsA fair Nursing Attention Process was found in both hospitals, as well as a low technical and scientific capacity in the nursing staff, but with a good personal interaction.ConclusionsThe good interpersonal interaction of the nursing professionals with the people in both hospitals could have influenced to have a regular-good perception regarding the nursing care
