Con las herramientas que brinda la descripción morfológica, en el presente trabajo se describen formal y semánticamente las licencias poéticas y arcaísmos que se encuentran en el poema “Comentario vii”, de Juan Gelman; esto es. aquellas palabras ocasionales que el poeta acuña con una finalidad emotiva y poética, así como las palabras que han caído en desuso y se han revitalizado en su poesía. El análisis toma como punto de partida el concepto de transparencia y opacidad morfológica, en virtud de que la formación de palabras en este poema estará condicionada, entre otras cosas, por el hecho de que el lector pueda identificar la palabra base de la licencia poética, situación que le permitirá determinar el significado de la misma. Además, algunas de estas licencia poéticas rivalizarán con palabras establecidas de la lengua, de manera que la licencia poética no será bloqueada, porque a partir de la transparencia Juan Gelman logrará restituir los significados básicos o prototípicos que las palabras establecidas han dejado de expresar. Finalmente, se muestra cómo se favorece la argumentación literaria con el empleo de herramientas propias de la descripción lingüística.In this paper, the author uses the tools of linguistics and morphology to describe formally and semantically the poetic licenses and archaisms found in the poem “Comentario VII” by Juan Gelman: that is, those occasional words coined by Gelman with emotional and poetic purpose, as well as words that have become obsolete but have found themselves revitalized in his poetry. The analysis takes as its starting point the concept of morphological transparency and opacity, through which the formation of words in the poem is conditioned, among other things, by the fact that the reader can identify the base word of poetic license, an identification that allows him to determine the base word’s meaning. Similarly, some of these words will contend with both formally and semantically established words in such a way that poetic license will not be blocked, as through transparency Gelman will succeed in restoring basic or prototypical meanings that words no longer express. Finally, the author shows how literary argument is supported by the use of tools of linguistic description
