Epinephrine (Epi) is considered to be the drug of choice for anaphylactic shock (AS). However, the benefit of this drug on improving systemic hemodynamics in AS has never been shown. We used a canine ragweed model of AS to determine if an intravenous bolus of Epi hastened the recovery of hemodynamics and modified mediator release (Med) compared with no treatment (NT).
