There is no doubt that the term employability is catching on in all areas of our society, in terms of both vocabulary and University actions. However, we believe it necessary to reflect on the “social responsibility” of institutions, much so in the case of the University. However, in addition to this we consider it essential for institutions, including universities, to have an ethical dimension in their daily work. Since the University is not a company, it is necessary to reflect on the horizon towards which the University, as an academic and social institution, must direct its steps responsibly and with commitment, linked, as we see it, with an ethical and social commitment, with a University policy linked to critical reflection and the formation of independent supportive citizens, committed to others and the environments in which we develop, so we reject the view of knowledge as a merchandisable commodity which seems to accompany entrepreneurship initiatives
