ResumoO presente estudo relata o caso de um paciente do sexo masculino, 40 anos de idade, com diagnóstico prévio de Leishmaniose cutâneo‐mucosa. No momento do exame, o mesmo apresentou lesão em cavidade nasal estendendo‐se ao palato e região orbitária, com quadro de disfagia, perda ponderal e caquexia. O diagnóstico da lesão nasal e oral foi desafiador e inicialmente confundido com Leishmaniose; porém, o diagnóstico final de linfoma extranodal de células T/NK, tipo nasal, atingindo mucosa oral foi estabelecido por meio de biópsias sucessivas, reações imunoistoquímicas e positividade para EBV. O paciente evoluiu para óbito após 3 meses do diagnóstico.AbstractThe present study reports a case of a 40‐year‐old male patient with a previous diagnosis of mucocutaneous leishmaniasis. Upon examination, the patient had lesions in the nasal cavity extending to the palate and orbital region with dysphagia, weight loss and cachexia. The diagnosis of the oral and nasal lesion was challenging and initially mistaken with leishmaniasis, however the final diagnosis of extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma, nasal type, affecting oral mucosa was established through successive biopsies, immunohistochemical reactions and positivity for EBV. The patient died three months after the diagnosis
