In recent years, the problem of the production of localized waves has beenanalyzed in various ways, from both a theoretical and a practical point ofview. We present here a way in which to construct a suitable experimentalset-up, so as to obtain highly localized energy. On the basis of a vectorialtreatment already studied for a specific source (namely, a ring-shaped apertureover a metallic screen), we evaluate the amount of energy supplied by a singleBessel beam. Then, by analyzing the geometric characteristics of theexperimental set-up, we can establish the position of further rings, so as toincrease the localized energy to a maximum.
