The technique of current splitting is presented as part of an integratedcircuit development for an X-ray imager. This method enables integration ofcharge signals of unprecedented magnitude in small pixels, achieving a dynamicrange of ${10^5}$. Results from two front end prototypes are given and a finaloptimized design is proposed.
